It’s official! Emraan Hashmi returns in Awarapan sequel; to be released on April 3, 2026 March 24, 2025 at 05:04PM

The wait is over! Emraan Hashmi is all set to return with the much-awaited sequel to his cult classic Awarapan. The confirmation came through an exciting video release by the makers, leaving fans thrilled about the resurrection of Hashmi’s iconic character.

Awarapan 2 Officially Announced The announcement video masterfully revisits the story of Awarapan (2007), reminding viewers of the gripping narrative and emotional depth that made the original film a favorite among fans. The video ends with the haunting scene where Hashmi’s character is shot, only to transition into a dramatic moment where his eyes suddenly open—signifying his return. Accompanied by the words “The journey continues,” the video confirms that Awarapan 2 is in the works and is slated for an April 3, 2026, release.

What We Know So Far Produced by Vishesh Films, the sequel’s storyline remains under wraps, but this announcement comes just weeks after Emraan Hashmi teased fans with a cryptic social media post featuring elements from Awarapan. The post sparked immense speculation, and now, with this confirmation, the excitement has skyrocketed.

The teaser video also features the soulful track ‘Toh Phir Aao’ playing in the background, instantly transporting fans back to the emotionally charged atmosphere of the first film. A sequence showing Hashmi’s character setting pigeons free—reminiscent of a pivotal moment in the original—further fuels anticipation about the film’s continuation.

Awarapan: A Cult Favorite Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Vishesh Films, Awarapan (2007) was a gripping action-thriller that struck a chord with audiences.
