Marvel’s Armor Wars, which was originally developed as a Disney+ series, is now being retooled and moved forward as a feature. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the move essentially pushes back the title further down the development slate. Sources say the studio was committed in getting the story told the right way and, in that process, realized that a feature was better suited for the project. Like all Marvel movies, it is intended for a theatrical release. The project, first announced back in 2020, will see Don Cheadle reprise his MCU role of Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes, aka War Machine. Marvel had previously aimed to begin production in 2023, though the team was reportedly notified on Thursday of the project’s shift in direction. A court in Bihar issued arrest warrants against producer Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor on the charges of insulting soldiers and hurting the sentiments of their family members in her ALT Balaji web series XXX season 2. A complaint was filed by a resident and ex-servicemen from Begusarai, Shambhu Kumar. The court of judge Vikas Kumar issued the arrest warrants. "The series was aired on ALTBalaji, an OTT platform owned by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms Ltd. Shobha Kapoor is also associated with Balaji Telefilms," said Hrishikesh Pathak, the advocate of Shambhu Kumar, as reported by NDTV. He added, "The court had issued summons to them (Kapoors) and asked them to appear before it in connection with the matter. They (Kapoors), however, informed the court that certain scenes in the series were removed after the objection. According to Variety, the news comes roughly one month after director Matt Shakman exited the Star Trek film, presumably to rejoin the MCU. Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is reportedly dating Joelle Rich, the lawyer who represented Depp in his 2018 libel lawsuit against The Sun. According to Page Six, earlier this week, it was reported that the Pirates of the Caribbean star has been romantically involved with Rich, one of the defense attorneys from his 2020 U.K. libel lawsuit against The Sun. According to Entertainment Weekly, allegations that Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh got into a "screaming match" on set are "complete false," according to the crew members, which include writer and producer Katie Silberman, producer Miri Yoon, costume designer Arianne Phillips, and director of photography Matthew Libatique.
