Rekha she is also known as Akshara is an Indian film actress who act in Kannada film and also in Tamil and Telugu movies.while she was pursuing modelling she made her debut in 2001 Kannada film Chithra and after this she started over 30 films in South Indian language.

Rekha was born and brought up in Bangalore Karnataka she completed her schooling at at the Basava residential girls school in Kengeri Bangalore. She was doing graduation in BBA correspondence course from University of Madras and trying to pursue career in acting she was doing modelling part time. After this she signed by Jayashree Devi for the Ramoji Rao produced college drama Chithra in which she played the role of NRI student.

Same year she started in huchcha Kannada remake of Sethu,alongside she made her debut in Telugu cinema with Sreenu vaitla Anandam. All her Ventures where commercially successful and the Telugu film dongodu was in lead.

In 2003 she had her first and till date only Hindi release Mudda with Arya Babbar. She was paired with Ganesh in his first feature film appearance Chellata as well as in Hudugaata. After her continuous releases that year bombed at the box office.She starred in billingual Ninna nedu Repu/ Netru indru Naalai in Ramesh Arvind's accident which became critical while making special appearance in the film mast maja Maadi. Raaj the showman and yogi.

In year 2010 she had a single release Appu Pappu and her most recent release was Boss paired with Darshan again she was also working in project such as Prema Chandramama, Jolly boy alongside Diganth directed by sabapathy and Thulasi.
